The legend of the Butterfly Lovers – comes alive on stage in a stunning performance choreographed to China’s most famous violin concerto. Celebrate the Chinese New Year with dancers from the famed Beijing Dance Academy Resident Dance Company in a production of classical Chinese dance.
The 90-minute show will feature China's best young talents in several classical Chinese dances that are rarely seen outside China along with the dance drama of the Butterfly Lovers. Hailed as China's Romeo and Juliet, this tragic love story has touched millions of people's hearts.

Audiences are invited to celebrate love in all its hilarious glory with HOW WE FIRST MET. This enchanting one-of-a-kind hit comedy returns to Herbst Theatre for Valentine’s Day. Whether married for decades or newly dating, straight or gay, HOW WE FIRST MET looks at the lighter side of finding that special someone. At each performance, couples submit their stories of how they met and the audience selects the winning tale on which to base that evening’s show. Actors then recreate the story with improvised sketches and original songs. A unique experience that will last long after the last chocolate has disappeared from the heart-shaped box, HOW WE FIRST MET, at the historic Herbst Theatre will help set the mood for any couple planning a night on the town.

Come and enjoy delicious food and wine while celebrating the 30 years Haight Ashbury Psychological Services has served San Francisco. There will also be a live auction of many fantastic prizes. All proceeds will go to keeping our doors open to serve our neighbors for many years to come.
Po Bronson's book of social documentary, What Should I Do With My Life?, was a #1 New York Times bestseller and remained in the Top 10 for nine months. His first novel, Bombardiers, was a #1 bestseller in the United Kingdom. His books have been translated into 19 languages. Po Bronson and Ashley Merryman’s New York magazine articles on the science of parenting won the journalism award from the American Association for the Advancement of Science, a Mensa Award, and a Clarion Award. Their articles for Time won the award for outstanding journalism from the Council on Contemporary Families. Their recent collaboration, the book NurtureShock, has been a New York Times bestseller and was featured on NPR's Fresh Air with Terry Gross.
Haight Ashbury Psychological Services was created over 25 years ago to provide quality psychotherapy, so that everyone in the San Francisco community can have access to affordable quality professional care. HAPS also provides superior training, education and supervision for masters and doctoral students working towards licensure and a career in mental health.
