The music of legendary Broadway and film composer and lyricist Stephen Schwartz spans over four decades. In this special performance, the San Francisco Gay Men’s Chorus is joined by the renowned Schwartz in the world premiere of “Testimony” written exclusively for the SFGMC. Schwartz has worked closely with Dan Savage, the founder of the "It Gets Better Project" in selecting and crafting texts from those who have shared their lives' journeys with the resulting work breath-takingly poignant. Hear the premiere, movie music from Enchanted, The Prince of Egypt, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Pocahontas, plus Broadway hits from Wicked, Godspell, Pippin, The Baker’s Wife and more. With the 275 men of the chorus, Schwartz at the piano and singing, soprano Melody Moore, and The Choral Project- the San Francisco Gay Men’s Chorus will showcase their vocal talents, exciting twists, and spirited choreography this enchantingly wicked and unforgettable event!
