Let Her Sing® 2019: A Celebration of Female Voices

About Diaspora Arts Connection:

Diaspora Arts Connection is a non-profit 501 (c) (3) organization that aims to foster deeper understanding and lasting connections among diverse cultural and ethnic groups within the San Francisco Bay Area and beyond through the organization of cultural and artistic events, as well as empowering diaspora artists whose circumstances make it difficult for them to express themselves, allowing them a platform for artistic expression. The organization further aims to help introduce new diaspora artists to local and international audiences; to help develop and improve audience appreciation of the arts in its constituent communities through presenting music concerts, dance performances, plays, lectures, film screenings, book readings, art exhibitions, and workshops; to produce events that foster a deeper understanding of different diaspora cultures within our communities; and to help artists from different parts of the world and cultures to collaborate and produce valuable artistic presentations.

For the third year running, Diaspora Arts Connection is proud to present Let Her Sing® 2019: A Celebration of Female Voices.

Fourteen female vocalists from Iran, Turkey, and Afghanistan, and a group of exceptional international musicians will come together on September 21 to celebrate the female voice; suppressed, censored, and threatened in parts of the world. Join us for an evening of exciting music and solidarity for the female voice. This program is made possible through grants from The Hand Foundation, SVB Foundation, TE Connectivity, and our generous donors.
