Ticket Information Regular Price: $50 - $150 Run Time: 3 Hours Reserved Seating |
Join us for the seventh annual “Let Her Sing®: A Celebration of Female Voices,” presented by Diaspora Arts Connection. On Saturday, September 23rd, over a dozen remarkable female vocalists will unite on stage, showcasing a breathtaking array of talent and solidarity.
“Let Her Sing” is more than just a musical event; it’s a powerful statement. In parts of the world where the female voice is still silenced, suppressed, and banned, this event stands as a beacon of hope and resistance. As we mark the first anniversary of the Woman.Life.Freedom movement in Iran and two years post the resurgence of the Taliban in Afghanistan, our vocalists will resonate their voices in defense of every woman’s right to self-expression.
This year’s stellar lineup includes (in alphabetical order):
• Elaha Sorooor (Afghanistan)
• Emma (Iran)
• Emel Mathlouthi (Tunisia)
• Farah Siraj (Jordan)
• Hani Kian (Iran)
• Mandana Khazraei (Iran)
• Sakina Teyna (Kurdistan, Turkey)
• Sanam Maroufkhani (Iran)
• The Oakland Interfaith Gospel Choir (USA)
Accompanying these powerful voices is our exceptional house band, led by Musical Director Yahya Alkhansa. The ensemble features Asaf Ophir, Bahar Badiee, Josh Melinger, Mohammad Talani, Niloufar Shiri, Nima Hafezieh, Narges Jajarmi, Safa Shokrai, and Yahya Alkhansa. Our Master of Ceremonies this year is actress and screenwriter Sarah Tadayon.
Join us in this celebration of art, resilience, and the undying spirit of women from across the globe. Together, we’ll echo a message of hope, unity, and the unyielding power of the female voice.
