SF Choral Society celebrates the first concert program in its 35th anniversary season with a performance of Antonin Dvorak’s Mass in D Major, Op. 86 (1887) and “Goin’ Home,” a song arrangement attributed to William Arms Fisher, based on Dvorak’s famous "Largo" theme played on English Horn from his Symphony No. 9 (From the New World), Op. 95. The concert is rounded out by African American composer Margaret Bond’s Credo (1966), in a setting of W. E. B. Du Bois’ Civil Rights prose poem.
