One performance only! PEV and Dr. Nicolás Dosman offer a springtime program of prophecies and dreams for a renewed, better world for all. The musical centerpiece is Rosephanye Powell’s The Cry of Jeremiah, a stunning four-movement work for chorus and narrator. The Cry of Jeremiah melds classical and gospel styles with the story of the prophet who bridges the Judaic, Christian and Islamic liturgical traditions. Other works on the program include settings of Langston Hughes' "I Dream a World" and other related texts.
