About Theatre Flamenco of San Francisco:
Theatre Flamenco of San Francisco presents an innovative approach to flamenco to enrich and inspire the art community and general public. Founded in 1966, it is the Bay Area's oldest flamenco dance company and San Francisco’s second oldest dance company. Under the leadership of Artistic Director Carola Zertuche since 2008, the company has expanded its visibility and programming beyond its annual home season, including touring, student training and performances, and community outreach.
In the decade since becoming Artistic Director, Zertuche’s Theatre Flamenco has evolved and adapted, alternating traditional shows with genre-fusing works, building a reputation for providing a uniquely West Coast lens on the Spanish art form.
